The Musician Steve Ezzo began his
career as a professional musician at the age of fourteen in the suburbs of
Detroit, Michigan. At twenty-one, he relocated to Los Angeles to perform
as lead guitarist in a show band at Disneyland. While in Los Angeles,
Steve worked in a variety of clubs and venues from San Diego to Monterey,
performed as a session guitarist, and operated his own recording studio where he
composed original songs and recorded music for an L. A. record production company.
On Tour From 1983 to 1991, Steve toured nationally and
internationally as the guitarist and background vocalist for Three Dog Night
("Joy to the World") and later with the British heartthrob, Tom Jones ("What's
New Pussycat"/ "It's Not Unusual"). During that period, Steve performed on
The Tonight Show, Arsenio Hall, and The Jerry Lewis Telethon, as well as in
stadiums and venues around the world. Steve also accompanied Burt
Bacharach, Jerry Vale, The Drifters, and The Coasters.
The Bandleader
In 1991, Steve retired from touring and
developed his skills as a top bandleader in Chicago, where he specialized in
society weddings, country club
functions, charity balls, corporate events.
His orchestra performed at the private home of Melvin Simon, real estate mogul and
owner of the NBA Indiana Pacers, as well as at Chicago's famed Museum of
Natural History where Steve provided the music for the wedding of Chicago
television anchor, Diane Burns, and her groom, a CNN correspondent.
Performer/Bandleader Steve relocated to Pebble Beach in 1999
where he continues his musical career as a guitarist, bassist, bandleader, Master of
Ceremonies, and DJ, in addition to
providing other
musical entertainment through Steve Ezzo Entertainment. Since 1999, Steve has performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival, Concours d'Elegance, American Heart Association Ball, TomatoFest,
Monterey Blues Festival, and at countless private functions and public venues
from Big Sur to San Francisco including Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco, the
San Jose Marriott and Hyatt, Spanish Bay Resort in Pebble Beach, and The Lodge
at Pebble Beach. He also hosted a radio show on KRML, Carmel.
A Quality Entertainment Choice Over the years, Steve has compiled an
extensive book of musical arrangements in a variety of genres, which allows him
to provide music that appeals to all generations.
Steve also has an innate ability to interpret the mood of a crowd and adjust the
music
accordingly in order to insure the success of an occasion. An articulate
Master of Ceremonies, Steve Ezzo's experience as a bandleader and DJ, coupled with his
skill as a performer, combine to make him an excellent entertainment choice for any size
function, whether it is a stadium event or an intimate gathering.
Known as one of the top guitarists in the area
who is proficient in a variety of musical styles, Steve is available as a
soloist, duo, trio, quartet, as the bandleader of his variety band, The Monterey Bay
All-Stars, and/or as a DJ.
